Carmela Testa & Company was a very small publisher within the Italian community of Boston, MA at the turn of the century. As far as I can tell, there were only 7 books in this series that were produced and they are extremely difficult to locate. The patterns alone are amazing glimpses into the ethic Italian community at the turn of the century. This book is loaded with techniques and pages of charted patterns. They are similar to the Priscilla books, which were also produced in Boston at this time.

Collingbournes's released two editions of this book, one in 1920 and the other in 1925. Most of the projects are the same in both editions. This later edition does not have the Tatted Purse patterns contained in the 1920 edtion. Stunning Work!

This is a slight problem with this book - the original edition was in very poor condition. I have restored the text to where it is perfect and readable, but some of the pictures show crease lines and distortions that were unrepairable.
