383 Pages. This book is enormous! You will not find this one anywhere else - I am sure of it! No one but I would be crazy enough to reproduce a book that is almost 400 pages in length and has over 800 numbered illustrations! It was well worth the effort, though because this book is one that should not be forgotten. It is loaded will information about making hats from the frames to the flowers - and not just one or two kinds of flowers, but dozens of them! Here are the chapter headings from the table of contents:
    I. Equipment for Millinery
II. What Makes a Hat Becoming
III. The Making of Solid Frames
   IV. Covering Solid Frames
    V. The Making of Wire Shapes
   VI. Blocking
VII. Straw Covering - Transparent Hats
 VIII. Bindings & Folds
   IX. Shirring and Tucks
    X. Pleatings
XI. Fancy Finishes for Brims and Crowns
XII. Ribbon Bows, Rosettes and Cockades
 XIII. Mourning Millinery
  XIV. To Renovate Materials
    Misses' and Children's Millinery
Flowers (over 100 pages of them!)

A spectacular book on the topic of Hat Making from shortly before the depression in the Gilded age. This is one of the most comprehensive books I have seen on the topic. There are over 800 numbered illustrations, it covers all aspect of millinery from making frames to making over 100 types of flowers and leaves. Due to the weight of this book, additional postage will be required to ship Internationally.
