21 Pages. This lovely book is a monthly magazine published in February, 1903 as part of the hard to find Lace Maker Series. In this issue is a lesson to make Teneriffe Lace, photo of a plate doily in Venetian Point as well as a jabot in Rose Point and Mousseiline de Soie. Also included are articles on Linens, Silks & Cottons for summer gowns; Protection and Stock Collars, Lace designs for tea cloths, centerpieces & doilies and lastly a Question and Answer section with great advice from the Lace Maker herself.
Please note that Mme. Hadley was a Lace Maker, and not a pattern writer. Her patterns are not the easiest to follow - but her wisdom and skills are the best of her day. She was the editor of the Butterick lace making books, winner of the 1892 World's Fair lace making competition and shop owner who supplied and repaired laces for the finest families in the country.
